They were all on the carpet singing songs and someone asked to sing -The Wheels on the Bus. This is a song we have on a cd in our car that we sing EVERY single time we are in the car. I've even taught them hand movements for the song! Well, they were singing the song and all of the sudden Addison's hand goes up in the air in the middle of the song. She started shaking it very quickly and the teacher stopped the song and asked her what she needed.
Addison,
"My mommy has that song in my daddy's car."
Teacher,
"Oh that's nice Addison."
...continued singing...
Addisons hand goes back up.
Teacher,
"yes Addison?"
Addison,
"You singing the song wrong! The wipers are next. SWISH SWISH SWISH."
Teacher,
"okay, lets do the wipers."
a few minutes later they started to sing the abc's. The teacher told them a different ending than what Addison is use to so her hand went back up into the air.
Teacher,
"yes Addison?"
Addison,
"THAT'S NOT HOW MY MOMMY SINGS IT... YOU DOING IT WRONG."
that was the end of songs for the day! The teacher came up to me and told me that was the most Addison has talked. GREAT...
Addison has great manners... I guess I just have to teach her how to talk to adults. She thinks mommy is right ALL the time and everyone else should do what I do!
If you can just find a way to make her believe "mommy is right ALL the time" ...for the rest of her life? You'll be OK!!! :D This is precious, Savannah... I love you guys! *HUGS* ~Aunt Becky
