My future grandkids!

Last week Kyle and I brought up the future with Owen.  ha... the kid cracks me up.

Mommy, "Do you want to have kids when you get big?"
Owen, "yeah, I want 8 kids but I want to break up with my wife."
{mommy & daddy bust up laughing....and very confused}
Mommy, "Why do you want to break up with your wife?"
Owen, "I just want to."

Lucas jumps in the convo

Mommy, "Lucas, do you want to have kids one day?"
Lucas, "No, I can't even take care of myself."
{mommy & daddy bust up laughing again....and very confused.  He is our most responsible child by far.}
Addison jumps in the convo

Mommy, "Addison, do you want to have kids one day?"
Addison, "Yes, maybe 3."

Owen, "Can I live with you with my 8 kids?"
Mommy, "Ha... why?  So I can raise your 8 kids since you are breaking up with your wife?"

Lucas, "Maybe I will have like 2 kids.  If I get a good job."

:-)  Well, I might be raising kids forever but at least I know one of my kids wants to be responsible!

Owen said WHAT?

Owen is a smart little guy.  Some things he comes up with cracks me up.  Like....

When I'm going slow he calls me a slow poke.  When I'm going fast I am a fast poke.

If I take a faster route I take a short cut.  If I go the longer way it's a long cut.

I will missing hearing him call me a fast poke

Is it an accomplishment or failure? :-/ I'm unsure...

Kyle - I wrote a consistent hash in F#.
Me - um.... yay?  I'm not sure if that is a good thing or bad?! :-/
Kyle - yeah, It's a good thing.  It's *&%^& node ^$%%^$$%^#^ node &^( )*( *)( node &*^ %^&$%^%$%#!@%((&^%#P{"? """?})(*&* - jibberish continued for a few minutes. It's like a ring (I caught that part... not sure what it meant though!)
Me - Oh, this is a blog for sure!

I love hearing my husbands accomplishments.  Sometimes I just don't know if it's an accomplishment or failure.

I need a break....

Anyone have a kid that does not like to work?  Owen is always trying to get out of any sort of work he is told to do.

On Easter we went to my inlaws house!  During the winter a plow moved some rocks into the grass.  Well, there is finally no snow so they needed moved back to where they belong!  Grandpa told the kids he would pay them if they moved them!  Addison & Lucas got right to work!  No breaks needed!  Owen started.  A minute later he was laying in the grass taking a break!  ha... seriously kid?

The same day we were at my parents house.  Easter egg hunt time!  All the kids go outside and start getting ready.  Owen goes inside and says, "I don't like working for candy."  He was 100% fine with not running around looking for eggs.

We signed him up for football starting in August (his idea)!  ha... not sure he realizes that he has to run around there!
